LEEDS, Ala.  – Three weeks removed from a difficult weekend at the Indy Lights Phoenix Grand Prix, Team Pelfrey Indy Lights returns to the southeast hungry for a strong weekend at the Legacy Indy Lights 100. Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires returns to the 2.38-mile permanent road course of Barber Motorsports Park, where the series conducted an open test in March. Team Pelfrey IL yielded positive results at the open test, setting expectations high heading into this weekend’s doubleheader.

What They’re Saying

Juan Piedrahita – Driver, No. 2 Polipetrosur/Pawco Dallara

"I think we have a great car. At the test the cars were very fast. It was my first time driving the car for Team Pelfrey IL, so initially I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I think the car was great then, and since then I went back home, I studied what I have to do, I know what I have to do now to be fast, and I think we can do it. Again I think the car is going to be awesome. I’m pretty sure we’re going to be right up towards the top, and it should be a great weekend. I mean this track is awesome. It’s one of the most beautiful places out there, so I’m pretty excited, and it should be fun."

Scott Hargrove – Driver, No. 3 Buy A GAP Guard Dallara

"Well we came here to test in March and right off the bat we were quick, which was really pleasing since we didn’t have much testing in the preseason. So I think with the things we’ve learned already and the running we’ve done we’re going to be at the front and be competitive this weekend. I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for a long time, and I think we can put the No. 3 Buy A GAP Guard car right up at the front."

Rounds 4 and 5 of the 2016 Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires season are set to take place this weekend at Barber Motorsports Park. Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires practice begins Friday April 22 at 11:15 a.m. ET and 6:25 p.m. ET. Qualifying for Race 1 of the Legacy Indy Lights 100 takes place Saturday morning April 23 at 9:00 a.m., followed by Race 1 at 1:00 p.m., and Race 2 at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday April 24.
