Three Champions Titles on the Line at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

PALMETTO, Fla. – RoadToIndy.TV has been taking fans behind the scenes of the Mazda Road to Indy since 2014 with exclusive coverage of the rising stars of the ladder system including dedicated post-race shows highlighting the exciting on-track racing action. For the deciding rounds of the season finale, RoadToIndy.TV will go live.

All three double-header rounds which will decide the champion’s titles in Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda will be covered with live streaming by RoadToIndy.TV and broadcast on the Mazda Road to Indy App – listed as “Road to Indy” and available free on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) for mobile phones and tablets – and on the RoadToIndy.TV website.

Rob Howden, the official voice of the Mazda Road to Indy, and Joel Sebastianelli, face of RoadToIndy.TV, will include live features such as pre- and post-race interviews of the title-deciding rounds that will award $2.3 million in season-ending prizes and awards.

“We’ve been wanting to do this for some time now,” said JP Manterola, President of Pro Racing Group which orchestrates and oversees RoadToIndy.TV. “We had our first live in-studio show a few weeks ago which was very successful and met with a lot of fan support. This is a logical next step. It’s a big undertaking but worth the challenge to bring these key races to fans and followers around the world.”

The broadcast schedule for Saturday, September 12, will feature USF2000 Race 1 at 10:30 am PT followed by Pro Mazda Race 1 at 2:45 pm and Indy Lights Race 1 – a 40 minute or 30-lap sprint race – at 3:45 pm. Sunday’s schedule will kick off with the final rounds of Pro Mazda at 11:40 am, an Indy Lights feature race of 38-laps or 60 minutes at 2:40 pm and the USF2000 finale at 4:00 pm.

Timing and Scoring for all track activity will be available on the Mazda Road to Indy App, on the three series websites and at racecontrol.indycar.com.

NBCSN coverage of Indy Lights will be broadcast on September 24 at 11:00 pm ET.

The Mazda Road to Indy season-ending awards banquet in Monterey, Calif., on Monday, September 14, will also feature live red carpet coverage on the RoadToIndy.TV platforms. An upcoming episode will be dedicated to the full award ceremonies.
