Dalton Kellett will pilot the K-Line Insulators No. 17 Firestone Indy Lights car at The Grand Prix of Baltimore

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. – Pabst Racing will enter its third Grand Prix of Baltimore this weekend but this time with a bigger, faster racecar. The Pabst Racing K-Line Insulators USA No. 17 Firestone Indy Lights car will make its street course debut this weekend on the inner harbor of Baltimore with Indy Lights Rookie Dalton Kellett.

The team is extremely excited to make the step up to Indy Lights, and they are looking forward to utilizing the Baltimore race weekend as an opportunity to gain experience as they expect to prepare a two-car Firestone Indy Lights team in 2014.

“As we enter our first Firestone Indy Lights race as a team, our goal is to have a solid weekend making continuous improvements while gathering experience as we look towards a full-time schedule in 2014,” said Pabst Racing team owner Augie Pabst.

The team announced their Firestone Indy Lights team commencement on August 16th and after an extremely successful test day on August 21st, they are confident that this transition is a step in the right direction.

“After our test, I felt that I adapted quickly and am eager to continue learning,” said Kellett, who is also racing in his second USF2000 Championship season in 2013. ”My goals for the weekend are to steadily improve and absorb the experience of racing a much higher horsepower racecar (than I’m used to) on a street course. I am confident in my team and can’t wait to get on track.”

Pabst expressed his enthusiasm after the test as well.

“We were quite anxious for our first test last week in preparation for the race this weekend and Dalton showed exactly what we expected – continuous improvement and a very quick adaptation to a much larger racecar! We couldn’t be more happy with his performance and are looking forward to the weekend.”

The team will officially make its Firestone Indy Lights debut from 1:25pm to 2:10pm on Friday, August 30th, for the first practice session of the weekend.
