Indianapolis, Ind. –  After a weekend off following the frantic Verizon IndyCar Series race at wide-open Auto Club Speedway, Rising Star Racing’s Josef Newgarden will be making another of the week to week adjustments that make the IndyCar Series so challenging as he heads to the fabled one-mile oval in West Allis, Wisconsin for the ABC Supply 250 at the Milwaukee Mile this Sunday.

Fellow Rising Star Racing pilot Spencer Pigot will also be returning to Indy Lights action this weekend on the bumpy one-mile circuit that is set among the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds. The young Mazda scholarship driver has impressed in his first season of Indy Lights competition, racking up more wins than any other driver as he sits just 11 points away from the championship lead.

The race week got an early start as Newgarden and Pigot were joined by their fellow Rising Star Racing teammate Neil Alberico for a visit to the corporate headquarters earlier this week for MOBÈ (https://mobeforlife.com/site), which joined Rising Star Racing ahead of the 2015 season.

For Newgarden, the Milwaukee race isn't just a change of layout from the last race, but it is also a change of format. A solo practice session on Saturday precedes a busy Sunday as the schedule features practice, qualifying, and the race all on the same day as he looks to bring some hometown pride to his CFH Racing partner Direct Supply with a third IndyCar win on the season.

“I’m excited to get to Milwaukee, it’s one of the best tracks we go to all year and it’s one of my favorites,” said Newgarden. “It’s really unique as it’s the only flat, one-mile oval we race on. To me, it almost drives more like a road course than an oval. As a guy with a road racing background, I’ve always loved going to that place. This race is also extra special because we have Direct Supply on the car there. With their headquarters nearby and their support all year long, it’s important for us to put on a good show and enjoy the weekend with them!"

Pigot had another banner weekend in Toronto as he took both wins in the double-header weekend despite vastly different racing conditions. His Juncos Racing squad was in action for testing at Mid-Ohio two weeks ago, and with six races to go in the 2015 championship, will be looking to make the most out of the Milwaukee visit.

“It is great to come into the weekend with that kind of momentum,” said Pigot of his double in Toronto. “But this is of course a completely different kind of challenge on this oval. The Juncos guys keep learning about this new car and hopefully that translates well this weekend. We didn't get the result we wanted to in our last oval race (Indy), but the car was still a blast to drive there and I think it is going to be a great show on Sunday.”

Rising Star Racing thanks our loyal sponsors and partners MOBÉ, D-A Lubricant Company, cmcglobal, the Epilepsy Foundation, and Barnes & Thornburg.

Alberico will have a bit longer of a break between events with the Pro Mazda series returning to action at Iowa Speedway on July 18.
