Indy Lights Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

  • Heading into the second round of the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires schedule, Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport's Devlin DeFrancesco currently sits second in the championship following back-to-back podiums at Barber Motorsports Park.
  • Looking to bounce back after a challenging weekend at Barber Motorsports Park, Kyle Kirkwood is on the hunt for his first Indy Lights-career podium in the Florida-native's "home race."
  • Although a rookie in Indy Lights, Danial Frost has collected three podiums in his four Indy Pro 2000 starts on the Florida street course.
  • As the veteran of the Andretti Autosport stable, Robert Megennis returns to the streets of St. Petersburg with two Indy Lights starts and has his eyes set on his first podium of the 2021 season.

"Preparations are well underway as we head to St. Pete. I’ve been reviewing video from last year and past races. I know Andretti has had strong cars there in past years with Pato (O’Ward), Colton (Herta) and Oliver (Askew). We have high expectations for weekend and are really going to be able to take the fight to HMD (Motorsports)."

"It was a tough weekend for the Andretti Autosport team as a whole. We played a lot of catch up but I was really proud of where we got the car compared to where we started. By race time we were super fast but qualifying meant everything at Barber, especially without Push To Pass for that event. The positives to take away are that we got some points on the board, the team worked fantastically together to get us in contention and we learned a lot to take to the next events with race situations and car setup."

"Coming into the second round of the season, I am very excited to be back at St. Pete a year later and to be running this track in an Indy Lights car. We seemed very strong in our lasting outing here. We are expecting it to be an exciting weekend."

"The Grand Prix of St. Pete is here! I’m so excited to get going. This is one of my favorite race weekends of the year and I’m ready to really show the pace we have after a couple sub-par results at Barber."
