The Andretti Autosport Indy Lights squad started the team's day with a morning practice session and closed the day with qualifying for Saturday's Race 1 at Portland International Raceway.
No. 28 INDEX INVEST DALLARA
STARTING POSITION
: 2nd
QUALIFYING TIME
: 1:04.1148
"I'm not too worried about points this weekend, I'm just worried about winning races. I think we have enough of a lead where we can focus on doing the best we can every single weekend. It was unfortunate to not get pole, but something was wrong half way through the session - something went loose. A little bit disappointed because I thought we had a shot at the pole after the first stint. But a front row start isn't too bad. Thanks to Andretti Autosport, Index Invest and the Stellrecht Company."
No. 27 CYBERSECURITY DALLARA
STARTING POSITION
: 3rd
QUALIFYING TIME
: 1:04.1909
“Qualifying 1 went great. We ended up P3 and less than two tenths off of pole. I am super happy and feel we are getting back into the swing of things. We had a little low for a couple of races but we figured it out. I think we have a good car to go win this race.”
No. 48 THREE CHORD DALLARA
STARTING POSITION
: 8th
QUALIFYING TIME
: 1:05.0541
Had two runs off-track during the 30-minute qualifying session
"Qualifying was absolutely terrible for us. We got up to speed relatively quickly at the beginning, then I don't know what started happening. We started touching the floor a little bit pretty much everywhere. Then, going into Turn 10, every time I went in I hit a huge bump. It threw me off [the track] the first time, then we must have bent something because it was just rattling really bad. And then when we went back out, we hit the same bump again and it threw me back off. I don't really know what caused it because we were running well this morning. We'll have a look at it and be ready for tomorrow."
