Today the Andretti Autosport Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires drivers raced the Phoenix International Raceway circuit for the first time in over 10 years. Dean Stoneman, Dalton Kellett and Shelby Blackstock took the checkered flag for the first oval race of the season in fifth, 10th and 14th, respectively.

The teams will head to Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama April 22-14 for Rounds 4 and 5 of the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship.

DEAN STONEMAN
NO. 27 STELLRECHT MAZDA

- Finished his first-ever oval race in fifth place

- Andretti Autosport's first top-five finish of the season

“It was a difficult qualifying yesterday. We had some challenges and we went into the race today starting ninth. Today, the Stellrecht Company Mazda showed great race pace and we were able to pick off the driver, but unfortunately the race wasn’t long enough to keep chipping away. We had great potential and my pace was very quick bearing in mind it was my first time on an oval. It’s been a great learning curve. It’s a shame we didn’t qualify further up the grid, we could’ve won.”

DALTON KELLETT
NO. 28 K-LINE INSULATORS USA, INC. MAZDA

-Took the chereked flag from the tenth position

- Completed his first oval race in the IL-15

"Finished tenth in my first oval race in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires championship. I’m happy with it but I know we had a much better result within the car. I think our race pace was right there and Andretti Autosport did a great job giving me a competitive No. 28 K-Line Insulators USA Mazda. I think if we would’ve qualified better and I could’ve grabbed a couple spots off the start, we would’ve been right there. I can’t wait to get back on the oval in May. ”

SHELBY BLACKSTOCK
NO. 51 STARSTRUCK MAZDA

- Today marked his 19th Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires start, his first at Phoenix

- Finished today's race in 14th place

"I had too much understeer in the car all race long. Unfortunately, as soon as we would get close to anybody the car would shoot up towards the wall. We just have to go back and make our oval car a little bit better to see if we can qualify better going into our next oval and get a better result. Thanks to the whole team for working hard all week on the Starstruck Mazda."
