"It’s so nice to be back. I’ve missed being at these events. I’ve missed being with the team. I’ve missed driving the car. It’s just awesome to be back, I’m having so much fun. Qualifying 1 wasn’t the best for me. I kind of got hung up at the peak of the tire, so not a whole lot I can do with that. Everyone is so good and everyone is so close. I felt like we had a top-three car and we ended up P8, so it is what it is and we’ll move forward with the race tomorrow. The second qualifying session was great. I had some clear track and we’re definitely making some improvements on the car, especially from where we were in practice. We‘ve taken leaps and bounds - the car is so much easier to drive and so much more comfortable. I'm happy with qualifying third because we can go win races from P3."

"You could say today was a character building day. I was quite happy with our Qualifying 2 performance, definitely much better, much closer. Qualifying 1 was a little bit of a struggle. We tried a couple things that didn’t seem to work out, but the Andretti Steinbrenner guys did a fantastic job. We’ve just been improving each session. My engineer Mark Bryant has done such a great job as well as my mechanics, Tex and Madison. Marty as well with (tire) pressures has done a mega job all weekend. I'm definitely looking forward to go racing and it’s great to be here in Indy Lights with Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport."

"It feels really good that we’re getting going again after such a long delay. It’s been a little bit of a struggle so far this weekend. We’ve been a little bit behind, but we’re getting closer and closer every time we head out on track. Between Qualifying 1 and Qualifying 2, we took a pretty big whack at it with the car and I think we fell a little bit behind because of that. We were P3 in Qualifying 1 and P7 in Qualifying 2, which is alright. We had to try some things to make the car better, but now we know that was the wrong direction, which is the positive we can take from it. Unfortunately, at a track like this, you can’t pass much, so everything is going to have to be done in the first lap or hopefully on restarts if any of those come. We’ve got a good direction now, but it’s race time."

"Obviously, the times are super close with everyone this year, but we have to make sure we extract everything to be high up on the grid. We’re still figuring out some things from both the driving and setup side of things to make sure that everything is up to optimal conditions. Today’s not the position we wanted to be in, but we’re a team and we’ll have to work on it. It’s not on just my side, but I think it’s an overall thing. I’ll definitely work on myself to make sure I get the most out of the car and also hope that the team can help me get the car I want. Hopefully tomorrow it will be a better day for everyone. It feels absolutely great to start off the Indy Lights championship, especially with Andretti Autosport. I’m super stoked for how this year is going to go with the new car and the halo."
